A gorgeous mid-century intaglio glass cameo, carved in reverse into a rich honey-amber glass cabochon. You can see the sharp definition of the profile and the depth of the carving from the back — a giveaway that it’s real glass, not molded Lucite. Set in a dramatic radiant sunburst gold-tone frame, this piece doubles as both a brooch and a pendant thanks to the built-in bail on the back. These were popular in the late 1950s–1960s when costume jewelry makers revived Victorian motifs in bold, oversized forms.
