This is an estate sale find I knew nothing about, just thought it was cool and Picasso like- & later found out DeSimone actually studied under Picasso! Good vintage condition little espresso mug- just has some crazing. Giovanni De Simone (1930–1991) established his renowned Ceramiche De Simone pottery brand in the 1960s in Palermo, Sicily. Heavily influenced by Picasso and Sicilian folklore, his studio produced vibrant, hand-painted Majolica pottery through the 1960s and 1970s, with his most prolific, highly sought-after work produced during this era. He retired in 1981
