This is the most unusual old piano stool foot I've ever seen. most of them have clear marbles as the ball part of the claw, or sometimes even a metal one. green marble. this foot is extremely heavy as well. It is either made of cast copper or iron or brass. The ornate detail is fabulous. when you look at it from the side, it almost has the profile of the top half of a bird. beautiful little item to add to a shelf or on a stack of books. definitely a little conversation piece.
