This is a heavy, Cast vintage reproduction of a Tsuba or, guard for a Japanese Samurai sword. It is a very high quality piece, possibly very early, due to the chocolate oxidation. There are seams, which are well hidden, indicative of Meji style work. The details are high quality, and the casting is sharp.
