Brass upper arm bracelet. Origin: East Africa / Ethiopia. The bracelet has a pentagonal cross-section and is decorated with chased ornaments of stripes, dots, and circles. The bracelet is worn on the upper arm. Usually they are a gift from the mother, sometimes from the fiancé. Husbands are not supposed to give these bands to their spouses. Dates between 1950 - 1975
