Aristo square tank watch - est. 1930s-1940s. Patina on dial . Really cool grey sector vibe going on. 34.3 lug to lug x 27.6 crown to other side of case . Fresh brand new crystal . On the original worn brown spiedel band that it came with. Red seconds hand , really cool hour hand . Running and driving . Appears to keep time well from what I’ve observed. Swiss made movement , German history Aristo is a historic German watch brand founded in 1907 in Pforzheim, Germany by Julius Epple. Pforzheim was one of Germany’s major centers for jewelry and watchmaking, much like Switzerland’s Jura region. The company originally produced elegant dress watches and military-style timepieces before expanding into aviation and Bauhaus-inspired watches. Today the brand continues to operate in Germany under the Aristo/Vollmer group, producing German-made watches using Swiss mechanical movements.
