Etched Fanta Garnet — Oyo State, Nigeria This piece stands apart from typical Fanta Garnet specimens in two ways: its color runs deeper and darker than the classic neon-orange grade, and its crystal surface shows natural etching — the result of partial dissolution during the crystal's formation, leaving a textured, sculptural surface rather than the smooth rounded faces garnet usually shows. Sourced from Oyo State, Nigeria, this is a one-of-a-kind piece — once it's sold, it's gone. Garnet is a durable stone (6.5-7.5 on the Mohs scale) and handles daily display well with minimal special care.
