Design & Features: As shown in IMG_5614.jpg, the kit features a beautiful vibrant blue enameled finish over a brass body, complete with a small cord and tassel attached to the top cap for easy carrying or attachment. Functionality: When pulled or unscrewed apart (IMG_5615.jpg), it reveals a hidden inner compartment containing a compact wooden or early plastic spool wound with sewing thread. (no needle) Removable Core: As detailed in photo, the inner spool assembly is fully removable. One end includes a small metal housing which typically serves as a hidden thimble or storage for miniature needles. Markings: The brass rim features an engraved "GERMANY" origin mark (IMG_5615.jpg), dating this piece to the early-to-mid 20th century. -------------- E-6
