Epic Mickey is a 3D platform adventure game starring Disney's most famous character. Much of the exploration and action take place in an alternate realm called Wasteland, a place inhabited by characters and ideas from lesser-known Disney animation projects, and ruled by Oswald the Rabbit, one of Walt Disney's very first cartoon creations. Mickey's most important tools are paint and thinner, which he can use to alter the illustrated world around him. Throughout the adventure, the game emphasizes the concept of "Playstyle Matters." There are multiple ways to overcome problems the hero faces in Wasteland, but his actions have consequences, and the game's story develops according to the choices players make. What may seem like the easiest solution, short-term, might not be best in the end. Epic Mickey was developed under the supervision of esteemed game designer Warren Spector, whose Junction Point Studios was acquired by the Walt Disney Company before the game was publicly announced.
