The Comic: Classic Star Wars: A New Hope #2 was published by Dark Horse Comics in July 1994. It features updated coloring of the original 1977 Marvel movie adaptation, showcasing the chiseled styling of penciler Howard Chaykin. The Card: This card comes from the highly praised Topps Star Wars Galaxy Series 2 trading card set released later that same year. The "Galaxy" series was famous for moving away from movie screenshots and focusing entirely on high-quality artwork. A large subset of Series 2 explicitly highlighted "The Comic Art of Star Wars," paying tribute to iconic covers and illustrations by reproducing them on standard card stock with the distinct "Star Wars Galaxy" logo stamped in the corner.
