Vintage mid-century Platte Valley Straight Corn Whiskey ceramic jug by McCormick Distilling Co. of Weston, Missouri. This is the classic two-tone stoneware decanter with embossed “McCormick” at the shoulder, cobalt blue front advertising, and base mark 135-66 / 11-D-16 / USA, dating it to 1966. Originally sold filled with Platte Valley corn whiskey, these little jugs are now collected as whiskey advertising, barware, primitive stoneware, and rustic farmhouse décor. This one still has its original stopper/cap assembly with remnants of the red tax seal, which is a nice plus, though the paper labels show wear/loss from age and use. Great shelf piece for a bar, cabin, or stoneware collection. Approx 7” tall
