Highly collectible piece of mid-century kitsch kitchenware: an original Vintage Occupied Japan "Nodder" Chicken Condiment Set manufactured by the Takito Company (Patent T.T.). This charming 5-piece set features two hand-painted chicken salt and pepper shakers with long ceramic balancing pegs. When placed into the base, they bobble and tilt like pecking hens! The center features a matching lidded mustard or jam pot complete with its original, hard-to-find ceramic serving spoon. Measurements: * Holder Base: Approx. 5" long x 2.25" tall * Chicken Shakers: Approx. 4" long (including balancing stem) Condition: This set is in beautiful vintage condition for its age with vibrant hand-painted colors. The original ceramic spoon and lid are fully intact with no chips or cracks, which is incredibly rare for these sets. One shaker retains its original cork stopper, while the other will require a standard replacement cork.
