Was brandnew until i sand blasted the handle scales , this gives the stainless steel scales more grip ! , which to me is an improvement, do not buy this if you are not ready for a big knife as it is heavy, and if you don’t know how to do reverse flick with a heavy knife, then I don’t recommend getting it. It is on ultra smooth bearings in the pivot, and it is a button lock. It is very easy to open just by pressing the button and letting the blade fly out. It has a large thumb hole for easy opening. Also
