Exceptional c.1950s signed WEISS articulated bracelet featuring glowing orange/amber marquise glass cabochons, faceted orange glass navettes and contrasting dark rhinestones in ornate antiqued silver-tone settings. Elaborate dimensional construction with articulated links and safety chain. The applied oval WEISS cartouche is an important period identification detail. Weiss is particularly collectible for its sophisticated mid-century stonework, and historical references indicate that some Weiss jewelry was sourced/produced through outside manufacturers, including DeLizza & Elster (D&E/Juliana) and Hollycraft, which may help explain the exceptionally elaborate construction seen here. This is not an attribution to either maker. An exact duplicate has proven extremely difficult to locate, making this unusual orange-and-dark-stone configuration a scarce-to-rare Weiss design.
