Absolutely fabulous vintage Japanese stoneware mug set featuring four coordinating ribbed/fluted mugs in rich earthy brown, amber and olive green glazes, presented on the original vintage metal mug tree. Each mug is marked JAPAN on the underside. The mugs have wonderful dimensional ribbed bodies and sculptural handles, with the earthy glaze colors giving this set a distinctly Mid-Century Modern / 1960s–1970s retro kitchen aesthetic. The original metal stand makes this especially fun — it is both a functional mug holder and a terrific vintage display piece.
