Charming vintage Made in Japan Windmill Cottage Ware tea set, dating approximately to the 1940s–1950s. This whimsical ceramic service is molded in the form of a country windmill cottage, complete with dimensional windmill blades, cottage doors and windows, greenery, faux-wood branch handles and soft blue, green, cream, black and caramel-brown accents. Set includes the covered teapot, double-handled open sugar bowl and creamer, for three vessels/five pieces including the teapot lid. Pieces are marked MADE IN JAPAN on the underside. Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear. Visible glaze crazing is present, particularly on the interiors/undersides, along with some discoloration, surface wear and manufacturing irregularities consistent with age. The teapot lid has a small manufactured vent hole. Please review all photographs closely, as they are part of the condition description.
