Exceptional c. 1980s Jaime Quiroz for ALBA sterling silver and turquoise enamel fish earrings from Taxco, Mexico. Quiroz was a silversmith associated with the celebrated Margot de Taxco workshop, working within Margot’s renowned silver-and-enamel tradition. He later produced enamel jewelry under ALBA, named for his eldest daughter. These whimsical articulated fish feature hand-worked sterling, turquoise-blue enamel scales and original screw-back fittings. Highly collectible, with the important Margot de Taxco association adding particular appeal for collectors of Mexican Modernist enamel jewelry.
