When the outer edges are lifted, you can slip your scarf tails underneath to keep them perfectly styled. Because of its unique design and firm grip, it can also double beautifully as a modern hair barrette or statement hair clip.The back is clearly stamped "NATTY CREATIONS PAT. PENDING", dating this exact piece to the narrow window between 1937 and 1939 while Nathan Levy's mechanical patent (originally filed in December 1936) was still processing.
