Mila Useche - STRUGGLES Standing 12.5 cm tall, Struggles is the most tender-hearted of the crew. Born from Mila's reflections on uncertainty in her career and the looming challenges of technology. Standing on a sea of frothing, menacing bubbles, Struggles faces down a red sea-monster with nothing but determination and a timid smile. With her hoodie and butterfly wings, Struggles is clumsy but persistent - showing us that it's okay to feel anxious as long as we keep moving toward brighter shores. MILA USECHE Mila Useche was born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1993. She completed a B.F.A. at Berliner Technische, Kunsthochshule in Berlin, Germany, and currently lives and works in Ehime, Japan. Influenced by her background in animation, comics, Catholic iconography, and her interest in the fast-paced visuals of internet culture, Mila's work deals with themes of identity, collective nostalgia, and personal mythologies.
