Authentic antique English Davenport majolica plate dating to the Victorian era, circa 1870. Approximately 8” diameter with a richly molded grapevine design featuring overlapping leaves, pronounced veining, curling tendrils and a stippled ground. Finished in Davenport’s striking deep green glaze, which pools beautifully within the relief. A wonderful 19th-century English majolica plate for a botanical collection, plate wall, or grandmillennial display.
