Vintage handcrafted Southeast Asian condiment or salt pot featuring three traditional materials in one piece. The small earthenware pottery vessel has a brown glazed finish with handmade and firing variations. It rests inside a closely fitted handwoven natural-fiber basket sleeve with a herringbone-style weave and braided rim. The pottery lid has an intentional opening at the edge designed to accommodate the included miniature hand-carved wooden spoon. All three components — pottery vessel and lid, fitted woven basket sleeve, and wooden spoon — remain together. The exact maker and country of origin are unknown. Based on the pottery, basketry and construction, this appears consistent with Southeast Asian craft production, likely Vietnamese or Thai, dating to the later 20th century. No maker's mark was found. Approximate measurements: • Pottery bowl: 2½" diameter x 1¼" high • Wooden spoon: 3¼" long • Overall height with lid/basket: approximately 2¾–3" Likely originally intended for salt, spices, mustard, chili condiment or another table seasoning. CONDITION: Vintage handcrafted condition with variations and irregularities consistent with handmade pottery and basketry. The lid has an intentional spoon notch as well as small edge chips/rough spots visible in the photographs. Glaze shows natural color and firing variation.
