Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass was a hugely popular 1960s instrumental pop-and-brass band led by trumpeter Herb Alpert. Sound and Style The band played a bright, upbeat mix of Latin jazz, pop, and easy listening often nicknamed "Ameriachi".Their signature style featured trumpets playing in tight harmonies (thirds), catchy melodies, and percussion.
