This item is a vintage example of filet crochet, a needlecraft technique popular in the mid-20th century for creating intricate grid-based imagery. Featuring a patriotic eagle motif, this piece reflects a common aesthetic in American home decor from the 1950s to 1970s. Collectors of vintage domestic textiles appreciate these pieces for their labor-intensive craftsmanship and nostalgic appeal. While these items are often handmade and thus unique in origin, their market value is generally modest, typically determined by the quality of the framing and the condition of the thread. They remain popular with enthusiasts of mid-century Americana and textile arts.
