Stunning antique Edmé Samson et Cie French porcelain cachepot, dating c.1880–1910. Decorated in the Chinese Export armorial style, this richly detailed piece features a colorful central crest, hand-painted floral sprays, raised white enamel work, lavish gilt borders, and applied gilt handles. Samson’s Paris firm, founded in 1845, became renowned for finely executed interpretations of earlier European and Chinese porcelain, and these late-19th/early-20th-century pieces are now collected in their own right. Underside bears a blue painted mark and G-1242. Measures approx. 5.5” wide handle-to-handle. Antique condition with expected gilt wear and light age-related surface wear. Please review photos closely.
