British One Penny coin from 1938 features the bare head of King George VI facing left on the obverse, designed by Thomas Humphrey Paget. The reverse displays the iconic seated figure of Britannia facing right, wearing a helmet and holding a trident, with a lighthouse in the background, a design by Leonard Charles Wyon. Struck in bronze, this pre-decimal coin represents a significant era of British numismatic history during the early years of George VI's reign. The coin shows visible circulation wear with a natural aged patina, retaining clear inscriptions and central design elements.
