This deck features campy, mid-century horror aesthetic. Created by author Stacey Graham and illustrator Paul Kepple of Headcase Design, it combines the structural foundation of the classic Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) system with satirical, tongue-in-cheek survival instructions for a fictional zombie apocalypse. Great for horror fans! Each card layout is assembled using scanned pieces of vintage 1950s and 1960s magazine advertisements, retro graphics, and medical anatomy illustrations. The characters possess a distinct retro nuclear-family veneer, juxtaposed against blood, decay, and shambling corpses. Adding to this immersion, the card backs and the accompanying guidebook are styled with mock old-school magazine ads for survival gear like "Zombigone" and hand grenades. Note- • Wands become Limbs: Representing action and conflict, illustrated with severed legs and arms. • Pentacles become Hazards: Replaced by biohazard symbols to reflect material resources and survival struggles. • Cups become Skulls: Covering emotions and relationships through a macabre lens. • Swords become Hatchets / Weapons: Highlighting intellect, choices, and sharp force. Nothing is set in stone, just the tombstones these cheeky card hold 🧟‍♀️don’t worry, the humor is about as dry as their unblinking eyes.
