produced by the famous French manufacturer Cristal d'Arques (JG Durand) Deeply cut criss-cross diamond matrices at the base, large brilliant starburst/fan panels stretching upward, and a distinctly scalloped, wavy rim. This is 24% leaded crystal. Leaded glass naturally has a high refractive index, giving it exceptional clarity and weight. The fluorescent green glow you see under your UV flashlight is a characteristic reaction often caused by low traces of manganese used as a clarifying agent in vintage glass production, or standard reflections of lead content under specific wave ultraviolet light.
