I’m Amanda and my daughter’s name is Nyla, I’m the thrifter and she’s the artist. I get a thrill going from isle to isle in a thrift store, or driving from one yard sale to the next searching for a bit of nostalgia My heart races as I bid on a piece of something that triggers a childhood memory at an auction. I don’t necessarily look for something valuable but things that appeal to my heart. My daughter, Nyla is a natural artist who has a very distinctive whimsical style. Her artwork is beautiful and it would complement many of the items I source. We even upcycle some pieces with her artwork making them beautiful and ready to be on display again.
