Hi, my name is Bill and it is a genuine pleasure to meet you! I went on Whatnot the first time ever as a buyer in January of 2026. Got addicted to the platform felt like the mail van should just back up to my garage every day...SO MANY PACKAGES!!! After I had spent WAY too much on the platform, I decided that it looked like a lot of fun to sell and decided to try my hand at it. My first try was a s*** show more than a coin show lol. I feel like I have learned each and every time I have hosted a coin show and it gets a little bit smoother each time. For those who have been with me since the beginning, WHAT THE HELL MADE YOU COME BACK?!?!?!? Seriously, THANK YOU! I have been given nothing buy encouragement by anyone I have come in contact with through the platform. As a buyer I kept going into shows where the host(s) were just, well, just MEAN to people! Barking that folks were not bidding enough, fast enough, often enough. One in particular who shall remain nameless in this space (3 initial name....one of the biggest) went after me when I commented about how rude he was being to people who were spending their hard-earned money on his coins! Later, I had an issue with one of his hosts switching my surprise package I had won for ALOT of money and while I went through the process of getting a refund through Whatnot the seller BANNED ME! Actually, I am so glad he did because it made me determined to be successful at the selling side AND that I could do it quite differently than many coin sellers on here.I vow to never yell at you if you don't bid as much as I would like. I mean I have control of the starting bid, right? I vow to never shame you if a payment fails. I mean we all have banks that don't really appreciate what a Whatnot addition is lol.I vow that I will be honest with you...with the knowledge that I have (not much). I vow that I will do my dead level best to make my shows a "safe space" where people can come and ENJOY themselves, get some quality coins (for now) at a good value. The main reason I am doing this is, in fact, to make money...although I don't want to make it all from just you! I am wanting to retire from my job as a jeweler, I am TIRED! Being 61 I want to take early retirement next year, but I can't afford to pay for insurance as I won't be eligible for Medicare for a few years. I am really hoping that this Whatnot experience will be the answer! Now, you know ALOT about me so let me ask a few things of you. If you come into one of my shows, BE NICE. Be nice to me, my helpers, the other guests and bidders. If you can't do that, no hard feelings but you would be better off in the 3 letter company's shows. Next, please be patient with me as I am OLD and this is a lot of tech and getting back into a hobby I haven't done in 35 years! Finally, please tell me if I am doing anything wrong or that you don't like! Finally, please HAVE FUN! Hang out for a giveaway, bid, chat, just ENJOY the time we all spend together!!!Hopefully you will hear it from me a lot, THANK YOU for helping me achieve my goals!
