The style is very "professional" for such a comparatively low-cost folding knife. I can travel and check this in my bags without stressing over losing it. The blade steel is more than sufficient for routine EDC use in a professional setting. It has a decent enough belly for slicing and a nice pointy end when needed. It's a nicely balanced Wharncliffe blade suitable for professional EDC. It is going to be competing with my Benchmade Bugout and Spyderco PM3 for pocket time, and will actually win on "looks" and when afraid of losing my knife (such as in a checked bag). It's closest competitor for pocket time is probably my QSP Penguin Glyde, and the Medal still wins on style points. The Medal is just as enjoyably fidgety as the Penguin Glyde.
