We have 1 lot of 4 consecutive/sequential brilliant, almost uncirculated, crisp 1935 E $1 Silver Certificates featuring the distinctive blue seal and serial numbers. These amazing notes were created during the height of the Great Depression. This is for all four notes! This type of currency was once redeemable for physical silver coins or bullion, a practice that was ended in 1968. All small-size silver certificates are characterized by this blue seal, located on the right side of the bill and the front of the bill states it is "Payable to the bearer on demand" in silver. These notes don’t have the motto "In God We Trust" as it was not added to U.S. paper currency until the mid-1950s.
