Product Details

You are purchasing this incredible antique (112 yrs old) Art Deco / Egyptian revival style pitcher, measuring 5" tall x 6" long. Manufactured by an American pottery company founded in east Liverpool, Ohio and West Virginia. The Urn logo on the bottom with the lattice pattern graphic enclosing the word "VITREOUS" denotes a durable stoneware ironstone ceramic body. The three digit code on the bottom breaks down as followed: *14 - represents the year of the manufacture - 1914. *5 - represents the month manufacture - May (the 5th month). The exterior of this wonderful pitcher showcases the aesthetic movement of early Art Deco trends of the 20th century. The gold leaf transferware geometric border and flowers design heavily inspired by Egyptian revival or the Art Deco style of that era. ** Please note the staining and crazing throughout this pitcher and one repair on the spout. See pictures. Priced accordingly. Please purchase responsibility. No cancelations, refunds or returns.
