This is an authentic 19th-century English transferware plate in the "Daffodil" pattern, produced by W.H. Grindley & Co. in Tunstall, Staffordshire, England. The pattern was registered in January 1882 during the Aesthetic Movement. While commonly found in brown, this plate features a less common cobalt blue-and-white color palette.
