Product Details

Production Era: The "Jane Ray" pattern was produced for a long, successful run from 1945 to 1963, making it one of the most prolific and recognizable lines of Depression-era and mid-century kitchenware. The Style: This pattern is defined by its clean, elegant simplicity, featuring subtle radial ribbing molded into the outer rim of the plate. The Material: Jadeite (or Jadite) is an opaque green milk glass that became incredibly popular during the Great Depression because it was durable, heat-resistant, and cheap to produce. It was frequently distributed as promotional items in flour bags or oats boxes, or sold cheaply at local hardware stores.
