Gorgeous matching pair of Vintage Hollywood Regency Gothic Revival taper candlestick holders featuring ornate antiqued gold metalwork and dramatic ruby red faceted Lucite centers. Standing approximately 8 inches tall each, these have a substantial, highly decorative presence. The elaborate cast metal bodies feature richly detailed acanthus leaf, floral and scrollwork motifs with tiered pedestal bases and ornate candle cups. The aged gold and bronze tone finish settles beautifully into the recessed details, emphasizing the sculptural design and giving the pair an opulent Hollywood Regency, Gothic Revival and Baroque inspired appearance. At the center of each candlestick is a large transparent ruby red molded Lucite ball with a bold geometric diamond facet pattern. The jewel-like facets catch and reflect light beautifully, creating striking flashes of deep ruby, crimson and pink. Even better, the ruby centers are highly UV Reactive. Under blacklight they fluoresce a striking purple and fuchsia response, as shown in the photos.
