Softcover ©2019 - Genre: Crime thriller / mystery (also tagged action-adventure, suspense, and sports fiction). About the book: Deep Threat is the first in the Billy Beckett series. It follows Billy Beckett, a former attorney turned sports agent, whose star college-football client Jarvis Thompson — the most celebrated wide receiver in college football — vanishes along the Tennessee River in the middle of the night. The scene is ominous: drugs, cash, and Billy's own brother, John, are found lying in a pool of blood. Billy must investigate whether Jarvis was kidnapped, set up, or ran off, and in doing so he is drawn into the drug underworld and a looming mob presence. The frantic quest takes him from East Tennessee to the South Carolina coast and the gritty streets of New Orleans, where careers and lives are on the line and the two men's pasts collide. It was published in March 2019 and is notable for being completed by Kelly Hodge after author Scott Pratt's passing. Softcover ©2019 -
