Reviews (43)Just received this beautiful sketch of Captain America (pencils only), which was drawn on a 9x12 Bristol Board. This particular piece commemorates the recent 250th birthday of America which includes a flag with "250" encircled with stars, and of course in his other hand is his shield. His attire is very reminiscent of the early days of the nation too, (which I think is chefs kiss). This artwork is bridging the past with not only the present, but also gives a nod to the future too.
Even a cursory glance shows just how much work went into this piece, and the attention to detail cannot be understated.
If you're someone who's looking for a nice unique piece to add to your collection whether it be sketch cards or covers, I highly recommend checking out the shop, and giving him a shot. The artwork speaks for itself — every piece has energy, storytelling, and that “this could be a real variant cover” feel to it. But what really separates Jason is how collaborative he is throughout the process. He genuinely listens to your ideas, works with you on composition and character choices, and really tries to bring your vision to life instead of just pumping out quick sketches.
On top of that, his pricing is more than fair for the quality you’re getting. Fast shipping, excellent packaging, great communication, and consistently incredible art.
As a collector, there are very few artists I trust repeatedly with commission ideas, but Jason has absolutely become one of my go-to creators on Whatnot.
