Product Details
An exceptional piece of history, this authentic early 20th-century Egyptian Revival silver ring features a beautifully molded turquoise-blue faience art glass scarab beetle. Dating precisely to the WWI era (1917–1918), this piece predates the massive 1922 King Tutankhamun tomb discovery, making it a rare example of the early Egyptian Grand Tour and Revival movement. The vibrant, mottled turquoise scarab is drilled lengthwise in the traditional ancient amulet style and secured in a sturdy bezel setting. It is beautifully framed by a twisted rope-wire border and features elegant, pierced openwork circular wire motifs on the shoulders. The shank is stamped with authentic Egyptian control/assay marks, including the specific historical date letter "S", officially attributing this piece to 1917/18
