Postal history cover mailed 1950 from Georgetown, Illinois to Taunton, Massachusetts. Ordinary mid-20th-century personal mail with handwritten cursive address to Mrs. Florence Pollard, 256 A. Fremont St., Taunton, Mass. Markings: circular date stamp reads "GEORGETOWN, ILL. JAN 13 1950" (time partially struck/unclear). Franking: 3-cent Thomas Jefferson stamp, purple, Prexie series (1938-1954). Contents: envelope only; no letter present. Size: approximately 6.1 x 4.5 inches. Condition: Good. Toning and staining to the envelope, visible edge wear and small tears/losses along the top flap area, light creasing. Postmark strike is legible though not bold. Sold as-is.
