This beautiful and rare L.E. Smith carnival slag glass acorn covered candy dish was exclusively a limited edition and commissioned and manufactured for "Martha by Mail" catalog between 1990's - early 2000's. (Yes, Martha Stewart) It features a caramel swirl glass with creamy white streaks throughout which is classified as caramel slag. Because of the mixing mixture, no two pieces feature the exact same pattern of swirls. This collectible candy nut container features a top textured lid with an acorn nut shape on top as a hand. Embossed on the bottom is scripted or cursive "S" for "Smith" not "Stewart." L.E. Smith Glass Company in Pennsylvania ceased production in 2005. **There are no chips or cracks, but please look at the last picture of a factory defect on the bottom the pedestal.
