I recall folding all my items and then placing them in the bag, not balling them up. The item was also storaged in a storage bin the whole time, and didn’t smell anything like mildew upon shipment. If you’re unhappy with your purchase though, I would be more than happy to offer you a refund once you have returned the item:)
