In the winter of 1968–1969, Jim Morrison of The Doors helped bring the boutique to life for his muse and partner, Pamela Courson. Together, Pam and Jim chose the name Themis, honoring the ancient Greek goddess associated with harmony, wisdom, and divine balance.
