The specimen is a high-quality, bi-color tourmaline crystal from Skardu, Pakistan. Its main body is a lustrous, opaque black (Schorl) with classic vertical striations. This is dramatically topped by a clear, gemmy, yellowish-green "cap" (Elbaite) that glows when backlit. The crystal is well-formed with a sharp, flat termination, making it a visually striking collector's piece.
