Flavius Julius Crispus Caesar, the first born son of Constantine the Great. Tutored by the famous early Christian author Lactantius, he notably lead the navy and defeated Licinius I in the battle of the Hellespont. He ruled from Augusta Trevorum (Trier) on the border of modern day Germany and France. Crispus was poisoned for a suspected plot against his father Constantine’s life.
