Antique Cast Iron Match Safe – Monon Railroad Route Advertising – Cast Iron Alligator – 8 3/4 inches length. A piece of American history, this figural cast iron alligator match Safe is an advertising item for the Monon Railroad route as it lists the cities along the way. You will notice the embossed lettering that reads, ‘Florida’, ‘Atlanta’, Cincinnati’, Chicago, Louisville, and Indianapolis. The alligator is hinged at the tail and reveals an interior compartment to store ones matches. 8 3/4″ long is 1 3/4″ high and 4″ wide. Only Comp online is for 1 for $550
