This substrate is very versatile and can be used in many different ways including by itself. Use this as a mix in with soil, or spikes substrates to help airate the substrate and evenly distribute moisture. Using this in your soil/coir mix can help evenly distribute water and help minimize water retention and prevent root rot. This is also a great mix in for substrates that are dense and feel heavy, mixing perlite will significantly affect the weight of the substrate. All natural prop/mix-in substrate.
