Golden barite from the Xiefang Mine in China. Pieces from Xiefang are often sought out by collectors due to their rich, honey color, and well-defined terminations. This piece also has druzy pockets. The name, barite (barium sulfate, BaSO₄), comes from the Greek word “barys”, which means “heavy”, which it noticeably is weighing in at ~180g.
