This charming metal Art Nouveau belt buckle is heart shaped. The buckle depicts a lovely woman with flowing hair with her hand behind her head. The buckle is 2" by 2". The buckle is a heavy for its size. These decorative buckles were popular in the late 19th to early 20th century. Similar items have been found as stamped brass pieces, sometimes used for necklaces or brooches in addition to belts.
