Détails du produit

Amazing late 1800s Art Nouveau majolica piece! Please see pictures for two call-outs Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn was a renowned Austrian ceramics manufacturer, established in Bodenbach (now Děčín, Czech Republic) in the mid-19th century. The company was celebrated for its high-quality majolica figures, vases, and decorative objects, often characterized by intricate detailing and vibrant glazes. Their output during the late Victorian and Art Nouveau periods was particularly popular, reflecting the era's taste for ornate and artistic home decor. Majolica, a type of tin-glazed earthenware, was a favored medium for Schiller & Sohn, allowing for rich colors and detailed modeling. Figures produced by the company often depicted genre scenes, allegorical subjects, or animals, showcasing their mastery of ceramic artistry. Model numbers, such as the '2151' mentioned, were used to catalog their diverse range of creations, making them identifiable to collectors.
