A very rare signed Gabrielle Binazzi Giant Clam Swan sculpture that still contains its original glass eyes! Most of her sculptures, if found, have its eyes missing. It has a chip in the shell but it is along its natural groove and does not take away the overall aesthetic. An amazing find! Designer: Gabriella Binazzi (Florence, Italy). Materials: Natural giant clam shell (Tridachne) with silver-plated or bronze metal mounts and green glass eyes. Origin/Period: Italian, typically dating from the 1960s to 1980s. Size: Width of shell is about 12” and height of swan is 10” Craftsmanship: Binazzi is renowned for incorporating natural elements like exotic shells from the Indian Ocean with precious metal finishes.
